Tatanka Tandem

We built this fatbike tandem frame and fork, based on our Tatanka fatbike with some changes made to accommodate the tandem lifestyle, for our friend Ron in Minnesota and his wife to ride on surfaces as varied as single track and crushed limestone to sand and snow.

The build is pretty straight forward with a 3×9 drivetrain, Kawa Green Rolling Darryls currently shod with Black Floyds, and an assortment of parts Ron had found comfortable on his other tandem, a Comotion Mocha.

The custom paint and pin striping was done by Ron’s son who works on custom Hot Rods.

Ron says “it handles like it is on rails with enormous traction!” We will have more info on the bike as Ron gets more time on it!
